Sean McArdle, having had his mind numbed by watching grass grow as a trainee maltster, he was able to find the change to accountancy, pulse quickening and mentally stimulating. However, after many years he was eventually overcome by the intoxicating thrill of the propelling pencil and spreadsheets and needed to move on to the sanctuary of the brewery. Rehabilitation followed where he developed his problem solving and engineering skills with a big hammer.
